Finding the Light Within

I am a global nomad! Born and raised in Saudi Arabia, I had the privilege of being educated at globally-esteemed institutions, train with world-renowned experts, and live as a scholar in many places all over the world. I have also lived and raised my family in Boston, New York, the UK, and a tiny coastal town in Saudi Arabia called Ras Tanura. This has opened my eyes to different child rearing practices and shaped my views on mental health across different parts of the world. This combination of intellectual pursuit and lived experiences has not only influenced my professional path; it is deeply woven into who I am as a mother, scholar, clinician, and consultant.

Combined with my long-standing academic interest in cross cultural psychology, this unique journey has given me an expansive yet intimate understanding of family dynamics and child mental health across cultures. By remaining curious throughout, I have cultivated a larger perspective with sensitivity to cross-cultural differences which I would like to share in helping others at the individual, family and systemic level.
